The song was written and produced by Elly Jackson and Ben Langmaid for their debut album “La Roux”, which was released on June 26, 2009. It was released as a single on 15 December 2008 by Kitsuné Music and will be re-released on 23 November 2009.
The music video of “Quicksand” was directed by Kinga Burza.
